Our Story
In 2010, Sondra & Jill (a mother-daughter duo) took on the world of Kernersville, North Carolina! They wanted to create a one-of-a-kind childcare program that would cover after school care, summer camp, and many other needs in the community. With Sondra’s experience in education and Jill’s background in Communications, they make a dynamic team, dedicated to providing a creative environment where every child can find their place and feel safe! It didn’t take long before Jill’s dad and Sondra’s husband, Robert, joined the team and became the go-to person for just about everything. From leading devotions and coaching sports to guiding the kids in art lessons, driving the bus, and taking on countless other roles, he was involved in every part of the program.
Their vision has always been rooted in the belief that childhood should be filled with fun, imagination, and meaningful experiences. Over the years, they have welcomed thousands of children through their doors, building a community where both staff and families become like family. At The Kids’ Clubhouse, it’s more than just a program—it’s a home away from home where memories are made & friendships are formed.
Mrs. Sondra & Mr. Robert were finally able to retire in the summer of 2023. Although they are retired, you can still feel the great impact they have behind the scenes. And everyone gladly welcomes them on any given day.
A few years ago, Mrs. Jill felt called to open Clubhouse Academy, a private Christian based middle school. The school shares the same location and fun atmosphere as The Kids' Clubhouse!
Fun Fact: They all own campers right next to each other at the beach!
